Insurance Marine sponsors Fiesta del Sol

The festival of Mexican culture and food, Fiesta del Sol, returns to the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago for the 49th year.
One of the largest festivals of Mexican culture and food in the Windy City, Fiesta del Sol, returns to the Pilsen district for the 49th time. The event returns to an in-person format with the Ferris wheel and 100 vendor and sponsor booths set up along Cermak Road. As a non-profit organization, the Pilsen Neighbors Community Council relies on donations and sponsorships to keep its community events going. Insurance Navy is proud to be one of these sponsors for this year’s Fiesta del Sol and will have a booth there.
Fiesta del Sol takes place from July 29th to August 1st and features the best Spanish home cooking in town with local artists and musicians. In addition to Insurance Navy, many local sponsors will be attending this year. Those involved in education, the labor market and nutrition are giving everything back to the community during this time. The Insurance Navy booth will be open on all days of the celebration.
“We’re happy to be there [Fiesta del Sol]’ says Fadi Sneineh, CEO of Insurance Navy, ‘This is not a marketing campaign. We sponsor and participate in community events because these communities are the same people that make up our customer base. It’s also great to be back in person after last year. We still have fresh memories from the 2019 turnout. We are so proud to be a part of the community and to be able to give back.”
At the Insurance Navy booth, onsite agents will answer insurance-related questions. If someone has questions about their current policy or is unsure what type of coverage they need, the Insurance Navy booth is your first port of call. If someone’s current policy needs replacing or they’ve bought a car that needs insurance, then this is the go-to place at the festival. They will also be handing out merchandise – a coffee mug or water bottle wouldn’t go amiss.
Last year Fiesta del Sol went virtual due to COVID-19. The usual festival, fundraisers, job fairs and Misa del Pueblo Sunday fairs had to be done via video chat. The website and Facebook page were active while Cermak remained deserted. Turnout is expected to be high this year as the cherished summertime tradition returns to the neighborhood.
As well as being a beacon of cultural entertainment and celebration, Fiesta del Sol is a valuable resource for those who just want to get on with the generals in life, like school and work. The school and college fair is held early in the week, with a job fair running throughout the weekend. Insurance Navy’s idea is to have their own insurance fair at their booth.
“Something that has propelled us from the start to become the fastest growing insurance provider in Illinois is our fundamental approach to insurance. Insurance policies aren’t talked about much in school when everyone is often required by law to have one. Obeying the law shouldn’t be expensive, and those who do it shouldn’t be clueless. We have deals and reviews on the ground,” Sneineh said.
Fiesta del Sol takes place on Thursdays from 5pm to 10pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 11am and Sundays from 11am to 10pm.
